Synopsis of Gene's Date

Donna is the president of the head lice committee at the girls' school, and is submitting the entire family to head lice inspections. When Jimmy mentions that she might want to change because they're going out with Gene and Gene's new girlfriend, Donna laughs it off, saying it's just Gene and whatever bimbo-of-the-week he's got. When Gene walks in with a tall blonde beautiful bombshell, Donna says that she has to go change. No one can believe that Gene got this girl.

The two couples are in the car, and Gene's date Toni is listing off her many ridiculous accomplishments, while all Donna can say is that she raises her family. And Jimmy chimes in the she's president of the head lice committee. After the date is over, Donna complains about how much attention Toni was getting at the restaurant, and the fact that Toni ate two steaks, ordered pie, and complained how she couldn't put on any weight. Jimmy reminds her that they're going out with Gene and Toni again tomorrow night, and Donna wishes Jimmy hadn't agreed to that.

The next night the two couples are grilling steaks at Toni's place, and Toni suggests they all get into the hot tub after they finish dinner. Donna's not so sure that's a great idea. After dinner, the guys are already in the hot tub, and high-fiving each other over Gene's score with Toni. Donna and Toni walk out in big terry-cloth robes. Donna is still trying to make up excuses of why she can't go in the hot tub. Everyone laughs at her. Toni sheds her robe, showing off a fabulous body in a tiny bikini. She gets in the hot tub, and Donna only feels more uncomfortable. Everyone urges Donna to get in the tub, and she mentions that the suit she's borrowing from Toni doesn't fit very well. Toni takes off the top of her own suit and gives it to Donna, declaring that the tub is officially clothes optional. Donna opts to get in still wearing the robe.

Driving home, Donna tells Jimmy how not fun the night was. Jimmy reminds Donna that she used to be wild and crazy like Toni, but now she's just a fuddy-duddy house frau. Donna is offended, and to prove she can still be wild she takes off her shirt and bra and stands up through the sun roof. She's having a blast, and making Jimmy really nervous, until they get pulled over by the cops.

When they get home, the whole family cracks a number of jokes at Donna's expense. Jimmy takes the girls to bed, and Donna sits down with Mitzi and talks about the woes of being an older woman, and how she doesn't get that "Whoah" from men anymore.

The next day, Gene comes by. He has to cancel his golf date with Jimmy because Toni has worn him out. He starts complaning about Toni, saying that she's just too much for him and too young and energetic for him. He says he needs a woman more like Donna. Donna blows him off. He pays her a number of compliments, which she accepts gracefully, but she says that she doesn't inspire that "Whoah." Gene insists that she's more like a "Whoah, Nelly!" and by the way, she has an incredible rack. Although Jimmy doesn't like hearing his best friend talk like that, it's just what Donna needed to hear.

The next morning the family is still cracking jokes about Donna being arrested. Then they notice she's scratching her head. They ask her if she checked herself for lice, and she says of course she did, but then they point out that she was in a jail cell for awhile. The whole family starts scratching away at their heads....
